FAQ's for Repairs
Can all issues be repaired?
We can repair many, but not all issues. Sometimes an item is just too well-loved and worn-out to be repaired. If your item is beyond repair, our Repair team will always provide other options.
Scratches, stains and other leather issues don’t fall under our repair service. For this, you can view our Care Guide for tips and advice.
If your new O My Bag arrived with stains, scratches or other issues, you can email customerservice@omybag.nl for help.
Can you still repair my O My Bag if I didn’t buy it from you?
Yes - no matter where you bought your O My Bag, we will always be here for you and your item. Our guarantee and repair service is available for all O My Bag items.
We have three options for repairing your O My Bag: a DIY-repair, a Local repair or a Mail-in repair.
You can read more about these three options down below on this page. For all options, you start off by filling in our repair form. Our repair team will help you find the most suitable repair option for your item.
How much does it cost and how long does it take?
Our repair service is free of charge, no matter what option you choose. Once you have filled in the repair form, our repair team will get back to your repair request within a few days days. For a mail-in repair, we may ask you to cover the shipping costs of getting your item to us. Our mail-in repair service can take 2 to 4 weeks in total.
What items can be repaired locally?
The leather craftsman, shoemaker or other local repair shop that you may have near you, is often just as skilled as our repair specialist. Sustainability is very important to us, therefore we always encourage you to let smaller issues be repaired locally. Not only is the local repair option the quickest option to get your bag to shine again, this way we also avoid unnecessary travel for the bag.
Examples of issues that can be repaired locally are broken doghooks (these are the clips on your O My Bag straps), stitching issues or broken hardware (such as a magnet, buckle, D-ring, zipper puller or knob button).
All local repair costs are covered by us and any needed hardware is provided by us.
We strive to always repair your item using original materials and hardware. When this is not possible, we'll proceed with the repair with the closest match possible. We will always keep the original design and functionality of your item in mind.
