Fifteen years ago, O My Bag started with one bold idea: that fashion could be a force for good. What began with a single bag and a trip to Kolkata has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

It became a community.

Along the way, we’ve celebrated milestones that make us proud: our first bag, our first flagship store, becoming B Corp Certified, launching Second Chances, seeing the Leo Bag make headlines around the world, and introducing Digital Product Passports. But every milestone on this journey has one thing in common: it only happened because of the people behind it.

Our producers, who craft every bag with care. Our partners who believe in our mission. And you, our customers, who choose to carry our story alongside your own.

Looking back, it’s clear that O My Bag has never been about bags alone. It’s always been about the people who make them, wear them, and believe that fashion can create positive change.

That’s exactly why this year’s anniversary feels different.

Over the past year, we discovered something we’ve wanted to do for a long time: create space for our community to come together. Our first Community Shopping Night reminded us how special it is to meet the people behind the orders, hear your stories, and connect beyond the products.

That evening inspired something new.

Since then, we’ve hosted our very first panel talk during Fashion Revolution Week, bringing together voices that challenge the fashion industry to do better. We also welcomed many of you to our first Bag Charm Workshop, where creativity and conversation came together around a shared love for conscious fashion.

Those moments reminded us that meaningful change doesn’t only happen in the products we make – it happens in the conversations we have and the community we build.

So, for our 15th birthday, we’re celebrating exactly that.

This July, we opened our doors once again. As part of our anniversary celebrations, I was joined by founders Marthe of Marie Marie and Agnes of Mended for an honest conversation about female entrepreneurship, purpose-led business, and turning one bold idea into a thriving community. We also celebrated the people who’ve carried us here with birthday treats, special surprises, and a community celebration in our Wolvenstraat store.

Because if there’s one thing these past fifteen years have taught us, it’s this:

People power the journey.

And this story was never just ours.
