Our B Corp growth story

At O My Bag, B Corp certification is much more than just a badge of honor; it’s the heart of how we run our business and align our practices with our values. It’s a recognition of our commitment to creating positive social and environmental change in everything we do—from the way we treat our employees to the materials we use and the way we manage our environmental footprint. 

With our new score of 129.4 points, we’ve made exciting strides. Here’s a peek at some of our initiatives…

Contributing to Living Wages
One of our proudest achievements has been the growth of our Living Wage Initiative. We’ve long recognized that the local legal minimum wage is often not enough to ensure a decent standard of living. Since 2022, O My Bag has been committed to contributing to paying a living wage to all the artisans in the factories that craft our beautiful bags. This marks a significant step toward creating fairer, more equitable working conditions for those who make our products.

Ethically and sustainably made, designed to last
Sustainability has been a major focus. We have introduced lower-impact materials like Mirum (world’s first plastic-free alternative to leather), Uppeal™ (a leather alternative made from apple waste) and recycled cotton, we’ve significantly reduced our energy and gas consumption and prioritized sea transport over air freight to lower our carbon footprint. We’ve also streamlined our designs to cut down on hardware use and minimizing waste. Plus, we continue to work with LWG Gold Certified tanneries to ensure our leather meets top environmental and ethical standards.

While we’re proud of our progress, there’s always room to improve, and we’re committed to continually evolving. Armed with the insights we've gained, we’re excited to raise the bar for our next assessment. And we know we can’t do it alone—together with our partners, suppliers, and customers, we’re driving positive change.
