O My Bag’s first steps in Japan

Two weeks ago O My Bag’s sales manager Loes went to Japan, to explore this market where people seem to look flawless 24/7 and outfits are always on point. We explored Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka and fell in love with the country big time!

1 TRAVEL ACCESSORIES

The bags are packed, the route has been planned, off we go! O My Bag’s travel collection is making it pretty easy to stay organized and look smashing throughout the trip.

2 JAPANESE CUISINE

Enjoying some Japanese food and beer.

3 QUORINEST

Visiting the beautiful Quorinest Store in the buzzing Shibuya district of Tokyo. O My Bag will be available here from August on!

4 GETTING AROUND

Getting lost in translation, while on my way to meet with Sisam. The simplest bus trips take planning.

5 MAG TRADESHOW

We were honored, proud and excited all at once to be showcased on the MAG and Jumble Tradeshows in Tokyo.

6 JUMBLE TRADESHOW

Word has it the collection was receiving plenty of love! Specifically our canvas collection and natural leather were getting their fair portion of love and attention.

7 LOCAL HABITS

Getting used to the local habits: shoes come off everywhere; even fitting rooms!

8 YUKIKO

It was a huge pleasure to finally be meeting with Yukiko. She was one of O My Bags very first fans in Japan and has been a true pioneer by being the very first person to sell O My Bag over there! She was rocking our envelope sleeve in black.

9 JAPANESE TRENDS

From a Japanese perspective, the only thing missing in our collection according to Yukiko is a small men’s bag. Do you agree?

10 SISAM

Meeting with the lovely team of Sisam! They have been doing a great job over the past 17 years in creating a demand for fair trade goodies through their stores in and outside of Kyoto. They welcomed us warmly with some Japanese tea in their cozy office right next to the University of Kyoto. It was great to be able to share experiences and learn from each other.

Japan see you soon.
O My Bag is coming for you!
