Some events are about learning. Some are about creating. And some are simply about bringing people together. Our Bag Charm Workshop during Fashion Revolution Week 2026 was all three.
The idea was simple: invite our community in, share the importance behind circular fashion, and create something beautiful out of repurposed material together.
At the heart of the event was our bag charm workshop, where guests created their own unique charm using leftover leather pieces from our production. There was no “right” way to make one. Some charms were colourful and bold, others minimal and carefully matched to a favorite bag. And that was exactly the beauty of it. Everyone left with something different, made by hand, from materials given a second life.
Alongside the workshop, we hosted our Care Bar, where guests could learn how to take care of their bags and extend their life for as long as possible. Because responsible fashion is about how we love, repair and use. We also organized a mini Second Chances pop-up section, giving our pre-loved O My Bag pieces an opportunity to find a new home. And of course, an event with our customers deserves a warm welcome. So coffee, tea, and smoothies were waiting for everyone as they arrived.
The event was introduced by Thea, our Brand & Social Marketeer, Roberta, our Product Designer, and Paulien, our founder, who welcomed everyone into our HQ and shared more about the way we work, the choices we make, and our daily commitment to better materials, fair production, and circularity.
But just as importantly, they shared how special it is for us to see our community come to life beyond the screen. To meet the people who carry our bags, hear their stories, answer their questions, and spend time together in a way that feels real, personal, and human.
For us, this was the most special part. Because yes, the bag charms were cute. Very cute. But what mattered most was the shared love of creativity and sustainable fashion that brought everyone together.
At O My Bag, “people first” is not just something we say. It is something we feel most strongly in moments like these.
When customers become creators.
When offcuts become something loved.
When a bag becomes a conversation starter.
When a room full of people reminds us that better choices can also be joyful, personal, and fun.
Big change often sounds serious, and sometimes it is. But it can also start in small, simple ways: by taking care of what we own, choosing better, asking questions, giving materials a second life, and spending a moment creating bag charms together. And maybe that is what made this event so meaningful. It showed that responsible fashion does not always have to feel heavy. Sometimes, it can feel like coffee, laughter, and a handmade charm swinging from your favourite bag.
To many more days like this,
Elisa and the whole O My Bag Team xx
