Our Female Founder Stories panel brought together Paulien Wesselink, Agnes Weber, and Marthe de Groot for an inspiring conversation on scaling with purpose, building sustainably, and staying true to your why.

During Fashion Revolution Week 2026, we welcomed our community to O My Bag HQ for a Bag Charm Workshop focused on circular fashion, creativity, and giving leftover leather a second life. With handmade charms, bag care tips, and pre-loved pieces, the event showed that responsible fashion can be joyful, personal, and fun.

At our first panel talk at O My Bag HQ, we explored why transparency in fashion remains a challenge and what it takes to build greater trust with consumers. Together with experts from fashion, tech, and sustainability, we discussed how honest storytelling, reliable data, and collective action can help drive meaningful change.

Since 2023, O My Bag has partnered with Future Hope in Kolkata to support vulnerable children with education, safety, and opportunity. Our yearly contributions include strengthening primary schooling, funding 11 new computers for digital learning, and rebuilding the school’s kitchen, which now provides nutritious meals for over 400 children. Together, we’re helping Future Hope break the cycle of poverty and create lasting change.

In August, our founder returned to Kolkata — the birthplace of O My Bag — to reconnect with the people and purpose behind our bags. Together with our Production and Sustainability team and in-house Videographer, we visited trusted workshops, and shared heartfelt moments with partners like Future Hope, KMWSC, and the Dustbag Ladies. From hands-on sampling to new storytelling content, this journey honoured our roots and reaffirmed our commitment to ethical production and community impact. More than a design trip, it was a celebration of purpose, people, and the power of doing business for good.

Fashion’s future is here, and it’s traceable. With the launch of our Digital Product Passport (DPP), every O My Bag now comes with its own digital identity. By scanning the QR code on your bag, you can explore where it was made, what it’s made of, who made it, and the impact it has on the planet. We’re proud to be early adopters of DPPs, setting the standard for transparency in fashion before it becomes an industry requirement in 2027. Big news for our O My Bag family—our Georgia Uppeal Bag just made a stunning U.S. debut on The Drew Barrymore Show the #1 daytime talk show in the USA! This February, I had the opportunity to visit our partners in India for the first time, together with Roberta, our Product Development Specialist. It was an eye-opening experience to step away from my desk in Amsterdam and witness the difference we’re making through our social impact projects and to see the heart of our production in Kolkata.
